Return Policy
Items shipped from Theautopartsshop.com can be returned within 30 calendar days of receipt of shipment in most cases. As long as you return the product within this time period, and without any damage or missing components, you will be eligible for a refund on your return.
If you have purchased an automotive item shipped from and sold by Theautopartsshop.com that is defective and is covered by a manufacturer' s published warranty, We will either replace the item or refund the cost of the item for the life of the published warranty.
The following items may not be eligible for return:
- Repair manuals, CD-ROMS, or any product that allows you to download a program to the vehicle, as long as it has been opened. If the item is still unopened (sealed), it may still be eligible for return.
- Electrical parts that have been unsealed or plugged in.
- Custom-made and special order products.
- Batteries where acid has been added.
- Parts that have been installed, welded, modified, cut, moulded, mounted, etc.
- Engines and transmissions that have been installed.
Conditions Accepted:
- Upon receipt of your order, we strongly recommend promptly inspecting the delivered components. This step is critical for accurately identifying any defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- If any defects, damages, or incorrect parts are noted, it is crucial to promptly report these issues.
- It is mandatory to notify us of any concerns(damages, wrong parts etc) within 3-5 business days from the delivery date to facilitate efficient resolution procedures.
- If you intend to reject the shipment for any reason, we advise contacting our support team beforehand to ensure proper handling and a smooth resolution process.
- Any type of refunds would not be issued on the orders that are `shipment delivery rejected` or `shipment delivery denied` by the end customer once the shipment is loaded to the truck ,when in transit or when the delivery driver is at the door/curb.
- The customer is welcome to order a replacement for the faulty parts however we can only apply the product warranty if the customer returns the parts with the original packaging. If not possible to return as described, we are unable to honor such warranty and the new order will be charged again.
- Engine and transmissions: Returns of new or remanufactured engines and transmissions will only be accepted if they have not been installed and returned within 90 days of purchase. They must also be returned in their original packaging, subject to inspection.
- Custom-made and special orders: Custom-made and special order items cannot be returned unless there is a defect in the product. In case you have any problems with such items, please call us so we can provide assistance.
- Electronics: Please call us before returning any electronic item for verification. Once opened, electronics are covered only by the manufacturer' s warranty. If you have lost the warranty, please contact the manufacturer directly for a copy.
Some products have different return policies or requirements associated with them. If you need to verify whether or not your item can be returned, please call our Returns Desk at (631) 729-8182 and we' ll be happy to assist you. If we receive an item that is not eligible for refund, we will contact you to discuss the disposition of your return. Ineligible items will only be held for a limited time after our initial contact attempt. Please note that Theautopartsshop.com may dispose of the ineligible items after this time unless arrangements have been made to have the item returned to you.
Theautopartsshop.com does not cover miscellaneous expenses including labour costs for removal and installation of a defective part, materials, lost time or wages, towing, lift, dock or storage fees. Theautopartsshop.com shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including without limitation, indirect or special damages as a result of product defects.
Core Returns
Some of the items we carry have a Core Charge. A core is some portion of a part that can be recycled by its manufacturer. Doing this saves the manufacturer money and helps our environment. If the old part is returned in reusable condition back to theautopartsshop.com along with your original receipt within sixty (60) days of the delivery date and your core refund will be issued!. All core returns must follow a specific set of guidelines in order to be eligible for credit. The customer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the core back to Theautopartsshop.com, Please call our Returns Desk at(631) 729-8182 for instructions on returning your core.
Freight Charge
Return freight charges are not reimbursable unless the return is due to a manufacturer' s defect or a direct result of an error on our part.
Cancellation Policy
All orders are electronically processed and forwarded to the warehouse immediately after the order is confirmed therefore, the window of opportunity to cancel an order is limited. All orders must be canceled BEFORE you receive the order confirmation email. No orders can be canceled after payment has been confirmed, as the order will be immediately processed for shipment. All orders placed from Friday after 5PM EST to Monday 9AM EST cannot be canceled, as they are processed over the weekend for shipment.
